Numero Cromatico presents GRAN FINALE. The group leaves the headquarter in Via degli Ausoni 1, Roma with a series of exhibitions closed to the public, conveyed through its web channels and social media pages (numerocromatico.com – FB: numerocromatico – IG: numerocromatico) over two months and featuring the artists of the group: Salvatore Gaetano Chiarella, Sara Cuono, Manuel Focareta, Dionigi Mattia Gagliardi, Marco Marini.
Today Numero Cromatico is an articulate and flexible organism,
the only research centre on art and neuroscience in Italy and, most importantly, a group of artists that think of art as science. During these years, this extraordinary and unusual body has grown, producing numerous activities internationally acknowledged.
Numero Cromatico leaves the headquarters in the Ex Pastificio Cerere
After two years Numero Cromatico is forced to leave the headquarters located in the Ex Pastificio Cerere in Rome. The attempts to find a common ground on the rent expenses in order to overcome this pandemic crisis turned out to be completely unsuccessful.
The group’s integrity and honesty, which everybody acknowledges, and the high standards of the organised activities were for nothing.
Numero Cromatico will continue its course in a new space, which will be revealed very soon. In the meantime, the programme of the following weeks will consist of the release of the exhibition project GRAN FINALE, the launch of the new issue of Nodes and
the publication of a manifesto containing the group’s practical and theoretical instances.
GRAN FINALE
For the season 2020/2021 Numero Cromatico had scheduled 12 exhibitions dedicated to its artists, which were impossible to realise in the way they were intended to, due to the pandemic restrictions and the cessation of the activity in the headquarters in the Ex Pastificio Cerere. However, before leaving the premises, Numero Cromatico decided to produce the exhibitions anyways, but with a new and unusual format. This is how GRAN FINALE was born, a series of 12 exhibitions in 12 days – held from November 5 until November 16, 2020 – closed to the public and posthumously delivered in digital form via the web – from December 3, 2020 until January 25, 2021.

It is said that great things come from difficult times, mater artium necessitas.
GRAN FINALE shows, once again, the energy of the group – the courage of an organisation that does not give in even during very difficult times.
Numero Cromatico, during one of the most critical moments for the arts, in Rome and in Italy, rebids by delivering directly to the house of the art public, through computer screens and smartphones, a programme of exhibitions to keep up with, week by week.
