Numero Cromatico Editions is an independent publishing house founded in Rome in 2011 within the artistic practice of the collective Numero Cromatico, driven by the need to give editorial form to a mode of thought that originates in art and aesthetics, while refusing to remain confined within them.
Its publishing activity is conceived as a field of research, capable of moving across different languages, forms of knowledge, and modes of experience. This results in a practice that begins with art and extends into philosophy, science, technology, and the humanities – not to simply combine disciplines, but to question their boundaries through a transdisciplinary approach.
For Numero Cromatico Editions, the book is a critical device: a space in which research continually seeks to expand its own limits. Its publications encompass a variety of forms of writing – from monographs and essays to texts on aesthetics and neuroscience, as well as poetry collections – rejecting rigid distinctions between theory and practice while favoring an accessible and widely engaging language.
