Inside Art
The Talent Prize, a visual arts competition promoted by Inside Art and conceived by Guido Talarico, has been supporting young artists since 2008, helping them establish themselves in the national and international scene.
The 17th edition of the prize is hosted at Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, Roma. The exhibition, curated by Inside Art, presents the work of the winner, Numero Cromatico, and those of the finalists selected by the jury and special prizes.
Numero Cromatico won with Cerca il significato del mondo, an unpublished artwork that has as its main purpose that of engaging the public on several perceptive levels and posing questions about the present, placing the viewer in a projective and critical condition. The artwork is characterized by several elements that act simultaneously on the viewer. The artwork is also a bearer of the research in the aesthetic, political and social spheres that the artist has been carrying out since its foundation, as well as its founding aesthetic values. In particular, it is a device in which interdisciplinarity, materials, interaction, ecology, the relationship between the natural and the artificial, minimalism and sensoriality come together to create an unusual aesthetic experience, capable of moving the observer toward a critical vision of the present – a social context that, today more than ever, needs to build new cultural and social paradigms.
