The workshop Esseri a malapena immaginabili involved 18 members of the Elica Group as part of the project of the same name by Numero Cromatico, curated by Marcello Smarrelli for the Fondazione Ermanno Casoli, within the framework of the E-Straordinario project.

The program introduced participants to a creative exploration experience aimed at connecting the historical heritage of Fabriano, the practices of Numero Cromatico, and the new frontiers of artificial intelligence, through a dialogue between analog and digital.

Starting from fragments of forms drawn from Numero Cromatico’s bestiary, participants generated a series of “barely imaginable” creatures, to which they then gave names and descriptions with the support of artificial intelligence. Finally, divided into groups, participants created stories in which these creatures were the protagonists.

The forms created by the participants became part of the collective’s bestiary, reproduced within the installation of the same name located at Elica’s headquarters in Fabriano.

On one hand, the workshop brought the working group closer to the research of Numero Cromatico; on the other, it offered the opportunity to transform the creative process into a tool for corporate growth and innovation, synthesizing individual creativity into a collective symbolic bestiary.
