“Agora Expo is conceived as a contemporary piazza where art, technology and innovation meet—a crossroads between Italian tradition and the digital avant-gardes. The event aims to be not only a showcase, but also a living archive of the Italian creative scene, exploring new media and technologies through artistic and curatorial approaches. The public will be immersed in a visual and interactive narrative that highlights the richness and diversity of Italian creative experiences, inviting them to discover not only the works, but also the minds and visions that generated them.” [from Videocittà website]
The future is here, somewhere is the installation that Numero Cromatico is presenting on the occasion of Agorà Expo – Videocittà.
The work features a 14-meter-long illuminated text that reads: The future is here, somewhere. The installation does not aim to deliver a specific message or point to a particular direction, but rather offers the audience the opportunity to reflect on the present in a critical and open-ended way. The text is part of a poetic anthology by Numero Cromatico, created with the help of S.O.N.H. (an acronym for Statements Of a New Humanity), the artist’s artificial intelligence specifically trained to produce statements about the future of humanity.
