In 2022, Numero Cromatico won Premio Taverna, sponsored by Spazio Taverna and awarded to the best Experience presented during the year. 

To get the award, the artist was asked to design a palladium-coated silver talisman, on which Futura – the group’s wolfdog – was depicted.

Numero Cromatico entrusts her with the city of Rome for 2022, thus drawing a historical connection with the wolf who cared for Romulus and Remus.

“Per te invento l’amore [For you I invent love]” is the phrase written on the edge of the coin generated with the help of I.L.Y. (an acronym for I Love You), one of Numero Cromatico’s artificial intelligences, trained to write love poems. It is intended as a manifesto, a declaration of the group toward art, the public and the city of Rome.

The talisman tells of a group’s unity, the love for art, and the belief that art is an engine of revolution and change.
